Senate Bill 1070

Do you feel that Senate Bill 1070 is a Bill that should have been passed at the State Level and not the Federal Level?  No where in the Constitution does it say that the federal government has the right to control Immigration.  the Supreme Court has decided the right is implied.  The Federal Government passed the Naturalization Act and created the controlling Agency for Immigration and that Agency has been taken over by Homeland Security.

  3. The state of Michigan is currently pursuing a similar bill, introduced by Senator Switalski, regarding immigration in our own state. The link below directs you to a PDF file containing the Michigan 1070 Bill.

Should Michigan follow Arizona's lead with this bill?

Below is a link to sign an online petition to your Congressional representatives, the Obama Administration and the Department of Homeland Security asking them not to cooperate with SB 1070, support any filed injunctions to the law, and furthermore, start taking leadership in pushing for real comprehensive immigration reform.
